Hello, hello!
This is my first book review and I'm pretty excited about it. I recently finished, It's Kind of a Funny Story, by Ned Vizzini and I loved it. This story follows a Craig Gilner, a fifteen year-old freshman at one of Brooklyn's best high schools. Due to the new pressure and stress he experiences at school, Craig slowly becomes depressed. He then ends up accidentally checking himself in to a nearby psychiatric hospital for a few days to try and figure some stuff out. Vizzini creates characters you'll absolutely fall in love with. He figured out a way to make Craig feel so real and relatable, you'll find yourself saying, "Whoa. I've been through that too." This book is great for anyone going through a lull in their life. It's able to inspire those to figure out their passion and realize that thing's are going to be okay.

I recently started a new book, so bare with me for my first recommendation!
So, I enjoy reading and I also like telling people about stuff I like. So, I figured why not do something involving both of these. I decided to create this page to post about books I enjoyed and would recommend to a pal.
I hope this page causes me to become a more active reader. I'll have to be able to describe the book but not spoil it, and also talk about the strengths and weaknesses of the writing. Wish me luck! I'll see you soon, hopefully, with the first book! |
